by Marie-France and Denis Rivard, Canadian Nature Photographers

This portal provides an overview of our work on nature and wildlife photography. The focus of our work is on wild animals and their environment, or simply on the beauty of nature in its various forms. We are avid bird and wildlife watchers and have travelled the world in search for new species. We like to share our travel experience and you will find here photos from various trips around the world, as well as the stories behind them. We used to do that with family and friends through videos and slide shows at gatherings but, in this era of communication, a presence on the web is a good addition. Enjoy this view on our portfolio websites and fine art products derived from our work.

Spring Migration - Lake Erie 2019

The spring migration in 2019 in Lake Erie was a bit unusual for us as the warblers and other migratory birds came in slowly. We started our journey on the USA side in late April at Maumee Bay and Magee Marsh and then headed north to Point Pelee National Park, Ontario (Canada) until mid-May. The species we used to see in numbers in previous years were sparse and trickling in slowly. However, our days were rewarded by a number of species new to us..
